Virtual Revolution

VR Chat space for the Women's Strike in Poland, which will become an unrestricted space for the affirmation of freedom and a series of pro-abo events. A virtual protest space. At the beginning of the second wave of the pandemic in Poland, the Constitutional Tribunal introduced a restrictive anti-abortion law. Women's rights were once again stripped away. This resulted in months of protests in the streets of cities, towns and villages in Poland. Hundreds of thousands women, non-binary people, men took to the streets. Not everyone was able to protest due to the pandemic and their health. Our virtual space was created for these people. To meet together virtually and protest. The first events organized in Virtual Revolution in cooperation with independent theatre director Oskar Sadowski were live streams of protests, the space was filled with photo documentation by photographer Joanna Helena of banners appearing at the protests. It was possible to participate as strike avatars prepared by us. The next event organized in Virtual Revolution was PRO ABO CYBER RAVE together with the polish independent music collectives Oramics and Destitute. At the virtual rave plays: VTSS, Rui Ho, Deena Abdelwahed and many others female artists. During the rave, there is a foundrising for pro-abortion organizations: Ciocia Wienia, Ciocia Czesia, and Ciocia Basia. The space continues to function as a queer feminist cyberspace, it is updated and transformed by us for the needs of important grassroots initiatives, strikes, protests, social actions, equality parades, and fundraising.
