At This Time of Night

At This Time of Night is a meditative visual novel and hidden object game. The player is introduced to Aviva, a young woman whose grandfather has recently passed away. She has always had a close relationship to her grandparents, keeping in touch with them, visiting them during the summer holidays and learning about their family history. Aviva’s grandparents were joyful and wise, but their past as Holocaust survivors remains partially untold. Aviva arrives at her grandparents’ house to pay her respects one last time. Players explore the house with Aviva for one final night as she reminisces about her memories of them and searches for fragments of their unread journals and unsent letters. She discovers both answers, questions and stories she never knew.
